Years ago I was on a panel talking to young Computer Science Students. During that panel I found a good point for a joke, so I said 'yes, and I'm going to hook my refrigerator to twitter.' The technology was not there at the time, however, years after that I found the Arduino had a Wifi shield avalable, and someone had written a twitter example. So I hooked my Fridge up to twitter.
In 2017, I descided to change the fridge to a full IOT device. So I replaced the Arduino with a Raspberry PI. I then started to send the data to a Microsoft Azure Thing as well as an Amazon IOT hub.
